How Tarn.hr compares

Tarn.hr is not trying to replace an employment lawyer or a full HR outsourcing contract. It is built for the specific, everyday situations that need an answer today, not a quote call.

Common questions

What counts as a scenario?

A scenario is one situation you work through from start to finish, including the guidance and any documents you generate for it. On the free plan you get one, to try Tarn.hr out, before you need to upgrade.

Is Tarn.hr legal advice?

No. Tarn.hr is HR guidance grounded in UK employment law and the Acas codes of practice. For anything that carries real risk, or where a tribunal claim is possible, it will tell you to take advice from a qualified employment solicitor.

Which situations does Tarn.hr cover?

15 of the most common situations at launch: informal and formal disciplinary, grievances, absence, flexible working, probation, redundancy, bullying and harassment, mental health and wellbeing, settlement agreements, pregnancy and new parent rights, restrictive covenants and notice disputes, TUPE transfers, whistleblowing, and reference requests.

Can I cancel?

Yes, at any time. On the monthly plan you keep access until the end of the month you have paid for. There is nothing tying you in.

Is my data kept safely?

Your scenarios are private to your account and stored on servers in the EU, in line with UK data protection rules.
